First Impressions, They Count!!!
A first impression only takes 15 seconds. Do you want a buyer to have good first impression? Most of these suggestions require a minimum amount of effort and money, while making your home more marketable. Some have probably been on a project list for some time - now is the time do them!

Make sure the front of your house looks neat, clean, and organized.
  • Maintain a healthy lawn by routine mowing and trimming
  • Trim your shrubs and maintain any flowerbeds
  • Weed the walkway and keep the front porch swept
  • Paint the trim, fence, and/or front door to give a crisp, clean look.
  • Keep all debris cleaned up

  • Repair the little things around the house
  • Touch up paint, fix screens, siding, etc.
  • Make sure all doors and windows open and close correctly
  • Replace any cracked or broken glass
  • Clean out gutters and downspouts
  • Organize the garage!

  • Be realistic in deciding on an asking price for your home.
  • Ask what the selling prices have been of other homes in your neighborhood.
  • Make sure your agent will market your home effectively. Ask where they advertise, are they currently on-line?
