J.R. Watkins developed the formula commonly known as "Red Liniment" (the first product he sold
in 1868), he wanted to create an enduring pain relief formula-a formula before its time. He
mixed it up by hand in a vat, blending such varied ingredients as camphor, capsicum (red peppers),
oil of spruce and other botanicals in an invigorating alcohol-based rub. Over 125 years later,
Watkins Liniment is still relieving the discomfort of minor muscle pain, soreness and
stiffness-and it's packaged in its original "Trial Mark" bottle. For external use only.
